NEW RETROFIT LED LAMP IN PLACE OF 50W HALOGEN

Havells Sylvania has finally launched their most anticipated product the new 350lm ES50 retrofit LED lamp on October 2011. This new product offers outstanding performance of 350 lumen output and up to 25,000 hours of life. It can be fitted into all GU10 and GZ10-type luminaries - without compromise – opening-up the benefits of LED lighting to the whole lighting market.  It is the first LED retrofit to have the power to replace a 50W halogen – the hugely popular workhorse of accent and display lighting - while staying within the limits for maximum lamp dimensions specified by IEC

GZ10 lamps are the dichroic (cool beam) type, where a lot of heat comes out of the back, and GU10 have internal reflector where the heat comes out forward.
“For a long time the market has been crying out for a product that is a straight replacement for a 50W GU10 halogen lamp,” says Peter Dillen, Strategic Business Unit Director LED. “The GU10 halogen format is hugely popular across the lighting world but until now, there has been no replacement LED product that is not flawed in some way. In our opinion, the 350lm ES50 LED has no draw-backs, it is a straight replacement for a 50W halogen flood and delivers the lower energy costs and reduced maintenance of LED technology. All this, and at an extremely competitive price point!  We’re anticipating huge demand for the product and are looking forward to it occupying the same iconic position as our halogen forebear.”

There were many good alternative larger lamps that did not fit into all luminaries or traditional sized products. They all failed to match the true 50W halogen performance. But with the introduction of this new 350lm ES50, all these shortcomings have been overcome. This new design strikes a perfect balance between heat sink size and space between the cooling fins to achieve clear air circulations and effective heat evacuation. The result is a smaller, lighter lamp delivering a higher 350 lumen output, to offer class-leading performance that sets a new benchmark for LEDs. Many replacement LED products have a much lower power factor equating to less efficient operation. The high power factor of the 350lm ES50 demonstrates the capacity of a lamp to efficiently convert input power (VA) into output ie, active power (W). This is another benefit of 0.8 market factor.

The 350lm ES50 will be available in 2700K Home light, 3000K Warm white and 4000K Cool white colors with a beam angle of either 25° or 40°; the 25° delivers 1200 candela, and the 40° delivers 600 candela in the warm white color temperatures. It is the first of all Sylvania LED lamps that was scheduled to be launched soon. Sylvania is supporting this new product range with a fully integrated marketing campaign by providing on-going service and communications support.

INDIA GATE: A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT VIEW

This year on my birthday (6th October), I along with 4 of my friends had dinner at a restaurant, and then planned to visit India Gate. This was the first time that I had visited India Gate at night, in the 2 years that I have spent in Delhi, India.

Let’s have a look at the history of India Gate which is also known as popular night time scene. The all India war memorial is also popularly known as the India Gate. It is a 42 meter high memorial arch that was designed by Sir Edward Lutyens. Its foundation was laid in 1921 by Duke of Connaught and took 10 years to complete. This arch was inaugurated by Lady Irwin. Names of 85,000 Indian Soldiers, who died in 1st World war in 1931 supporting the then ruling country Britain, are inscribed on its walls. In the center of the arch on the ground stands an inverted rifle and helmet on a raised platform surrounded by an eternal flame that was started by the Indian Govt in 1971.At the night the view of floodlit India Gate becomes spectacular with nearby fountains. It has become a popular evening spot for delhites and tourist alike.
Well, in the evening it shines bright, in the golden light, which is finally turned off at sharp 10:00 PM (IST), but although the golden lights of the bulbs are switched off but still the sparkling white light from the moon is always on it. We ate ice creams, while sitting on the lawns near India Gate, and finally left for our houses at around 10:30 PM. The view was amazing, which I want you people to see through this blog:
Burning in a shrine under the arch of India Gate since 1971 is the Amar Jawan Jyoti (the flame of the immortal warrior), which marks the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Golden Temple with lights [Heaven on earth]

 Heaven on earth:
From the begenning I was very much intersted in lighting things. last year I went to Golden temple which is called Heaven on the earth. These picture were taken by me, I was shocked! it was like stars were falling down from the sky. It became one of my very beautiful experiences about lighting!
I will never ever forget this beautiful experience. At night it looked like a big shining planet. Temple is surrounded by a large lake, known as the Sarovar, which consists of holy water. There are four entrances to the temple, signifying the importance of acceptance and openness. Inside the temple complex there are many shrines to past Sikh gurus, saints and martyrs . There are three holy trees (bers), each signifying a historical event or Sikh saint. Inside the temple there are many memorial plaques that commemorate past Sikh historical events, saints, martyrs and includes commemorative inscriptions of all the Sikh soldiers who died fighting in World Wars I and II great peoples they were.
